FLUFFLE! 08-07-2024

There was a sign on an area of the bunny sculptures at the Botanical Gardens today that said that display was called FLUFFLE. It explained that a fluffle is a group of rabbits. The word is actually interchangeable with warren. Nor for me anymore. I am going to use fluffle exclusively. Gardens were super hot today, but I really enjoyed them.
This is the Fluffle. Fluffle, fluffle, fulffle!

Passion Flower
Red Buckeye
Tie Vine
Three stages of water lily...

Okra Blossoms...
Little eggplants
This is some kind of specialty basil.

These three bunnies are called the Muses.
This anole was huge. I waited for him to stick out his dew flap, but he never did.
Gorgeous!
For the first time this summer, nobody was in this area but me. It is called No Name Creek and only flows until 1:00 PM. Usually there are little toddlers and even infants sitting in the water. We were scheduled for a very hot day. It was 86 degrees at 9:00 AM. I guess all the mommas thought it was too hot. Okay by me.

This dude was right by the creek. He's a Texas Spiny Lizard.
There's a fungus among us.

The wasp was trying to get into the tent worms. He got a little stuck instead.
Aren't they cute little guys!

This was a first for me. The mother dragon fly actually carries eggs on her belly.

This is the same kind of little treeling as the ones in our herb garden. iNaturalist says it is a mulberry or fig tree.
A blue heron and a turtle chilling in the middle of the pond.

In all the times I have been to the gardens to see the butterflies and bunnies, I never witnessed this. The sun was hitting it just right to cause a reflection on the grass.
When I looked at it, I actually thought that the sun was shining through it. I had never noticed that it was translucent because it isn't. It is an optical allusion.

These are my two pomegranates that I photograph every time. They are still only slightly bigger than a golf ball.

The white is water dropping from the fountain.

This is a beautiful sample of an American Beauty Berry.
