Friday at Choke Canyon 05-05-2023

My first full day in the park. I used it to preview the trails and bird blind to see what I would cover on the two nature hikes I was leading. I also went into Three Rivers to buy a few things and fill my gas tank. Nice day.
The native Texas Lantana was in full bloom all over the park. It was stunning!
A lot of it had already gotten berries. Some people say that they are edible when completely ripe. But they are poisonous if you pick them too early. Too me that says, "Leave them alone!"
The trailhead is at my campsite- #139.
Cowpen Daisies The were so pretty before the thunderstorms beat them up.
