Gloomy Winter Day... 02-06-2023
It was a gloomy day but warm enough to sit outside and watch the birds at the feeders. I was enjoying watching all the starlings fight over the suet feeder. Then, suddenly, I heard the shrill high-pitched calls of a flock of cedar waxwings. They landed in one of my hackberry trees- right over my head. I was thrilled, until I realized that the stinkers had a real knack for landing on branches where my views of them would be obscured. I managed to get a few shots, but none that I am particularly proud of.
