Home Again... 11-20-2023
These are all photos taken between 11-16 and 11-20 after our return from St. Louis. The back yard was amazing. It rained almost every day while we were gone. It brought the whole place to life.
When we left, the yard was all dirt and dead clumps of vegetation. Now it is covered in beautiful patches of winter rye, straggling daisy, and sorrel. |
The mealy blue sage is like a jungle, but covered in a new bloom of flowers. |
The esperanza is covered in flowers again. |
The Mexican sage has blossoms for the first time. |
This is one of the lovely sorrel patches. |
Still can't remember what Rachel calls this! |
This is an indian mallow in the wildzone. |
This is what the blossoms of the wood sorrel look like. I know it is considered a weed, but I absolutely love it. Apparently, so do the tiny pollinators. |
This plant sticks through the fence from the neighbors yard every year. |
I wish I could get some to grow in the wildzone!! |
All three of the sage plants are in full bloom. |
Lots of birds in the wildzone. |
Mr. Vinny was so happy to be home. He ran around the yard like a young pup. |
Miss Olive was also happy to be back on squirrel patrol. |
All the feeders are out and getting good business. |
Woody finally showed up on Friday. He has come every day since. Unfortunately, we haven't seen Wilson, yet. But, he didn't always come with Woody. |
The white winged doves are sure fat and colorful right now. |
