Just Because 04-02-2024

It was such a beautiful day today that I had to test out Rachel's new chairs for the PMP and take some photos. I really like one of these photos. Can you tell which one it is?
the mealy blue sage patch...
the last surviving bulbane plant... They are from Africa, but are not invasive.
Miss Olive lounging in the grass...
I just love her!
Inca doves hiding in the tree...

I decided to put the last of the suet out. Several birds were hitting it.
Mexican Feather grass...
Crackpot (AKA as knockout) roses... These are pink. The bud is light orange.
This is from the same plant. This is more of a coral colored rose.
This is a little branch shooting out on the pistache tree. It is a beautiful tree, but comes from Asia. From what I have seen, they are pretty invasive, but it is my only shade tree for the patio. It was a volunteer that suddenly appeared one day back before I knew anything about invasive plants.

Rachel likes sunflowers. I think this batch is for the eclipse.
Skeletor, Cat, and Josh are coming down for the eclipse. Rachel is already getting ready for our family celebration. She and I were supposed to go camping in Kerrville, but with all the eclipse hubbub, it started to sound totally unappealing to me. We are taking the $350 loss and staying safe at home. It's supposed to rain part of the day anyway. Might not be anything to see!
