Living Colors... 09-20-2023

This beauty flew out of the herb garden when I was watering.
It was about 4 inches long.
Indian Mallow
Flame Flowers in the wildzone
I'm not sure what this is. It is a tiny little vine-like plant in the wildzone. I think it is related to acacia or bundleflowers.
Living fire

Plumbago (AKA Cape Leadwort
We hold hope close.
Esperanza blossoms up close.
This is about 10 times larger than life. I do believe that my Lantana is going to bloom again.
I remembered the name of this plant. It is Scarlet Spiderling (AKA Hogweed).
Mr. Vinny was enjoying the cooler weather today.
He stayed in the sun for a long while. I think it feels good on his old bones and joints.
Miss Olive was taking a break from squirrel watch.
Backyard bees...
These guys never bother me.
See how the salvias in the back of the house don't have the white landing stripes. I don't know why that is. They are supposed to be the same species.
Both of these photos are the same bird. Sometimes they just don't put their crests up.
He was waiting to dive down to the feeder.
My favorite buzzer!
This guy was a least an inch and a half long.
Tufted titmouse
Inca Dove
Satan the squirrel
So handsome!
Still hasn't moved.
He was trying to listen to my conversation with Olive. He is nearly deaf, but hears what he wants to hear.
Miss. Olive often sits right by me when I am on the patio.
Another Inca dove
I think this is a different bumble bee.
This guy was just hanging on this feeder pole.
I tried to stick a dollar in her wing, but she flew away.
This one wanted the dollar, but doesn't pole dance.
These two were in the tree saying bad things about the squirrels. They don't like them either.
He thought he should get a dollar for just sitting there. I told him to fly off and get a real job.
Hummingbird shot #1.
Hummingbird shot #2... Do you see the hummingbirds? Me neither!
