Sunday at Choke Canyon 05-07-2023

Today was the day of my second nature walk during this trip. Unfortunately, an hour after we started, hellacious thunderstorms came and lasted most of the day. I still saw lots of great things.
We changed the time of the hike from 8:00 to 11:00. I had to show up at 8:00 in case anyone didn't hear about the change. There were several kayaking fisherpeoples in the morning, even though lighting was flashing around the lake.
American Coots
Common Gallinule... A couple saw a purple one on Thursday.

The Lacks and I took refuge from the thunderstorm at a picnic shelter by the boat ramp area. A small flock of very soggy Cedar Waxwings landed in a tree right in front of us.
