Two Spring Days... March 25th and 26th, 2023
Just wasn't feeling it yesterday, so I took more pictures today and blended both days into one post. This is the time of year when I get to see new things happening to my plants. Hopefully, some new birds will visit soon, too.
![]() Still not sure what all these blooms will do. Some on the bottom look like they may be withering, so maybe that's all there is. |
![]() The kids enjoying the weather in the landscaping. The grass is just a little high. Miss Olive doesn't like it rubbing on her belly. |
![]() I would love to be able to read her mind. |
![]() Pink rose |
![]() White rose with mutant pink spots |
![]() Bulbane |
![]() Surprised to see this Titmouse choosing a suet ball instead of a sunflower seed! |
![]() Is it just me, or does this Northern Cardinal look a little paranoid? |
![]() This blue jay stayed on the fence for about 10 seconds. |
![]() Then he flew away when I was trying to get a better shot! |
![]() I would love to be able to read his mind. |
![]() No new blooms today or yesterday. The ones you see here are withering away. |
![]() This little Titmouse is pretty acrobatic. |
![]() I'm pretty sure he is posing for the camera. |
![]() Darker pink rose |
![]() This squirrel was in the tree going from branch to branch munching on hackberries. I guess he got tired of Miss Olive not letting him get under the feeders. |
![]() I think roses are pretty in all their phases. |
![]() I love the shiny heart-shaped leaves on Jared's Redbud Tree. |
![]() Remember last year? Neither of my native Lantana plants bloomed in the Wildzone. These are very immature blooms on one of them. |
![]() Same plant, different bloom... |
![]() Spiderwort |
![]() Only one rain lilly came up after all that rain! |
![]() This is the same lilly from a different perspective. |
![]() This plant grows in my Wildzone. It is a Shrubby Copperleaf. I water it every time it stresses and treat it like I planted it. Others would call it a weed, but I think it is beautiful! |
![]() My little Mexican Buckeye tree has its first ever seed pod. The pods have three large seeds in them. The tree is not considered a true buckeye, although we do have two Texas natives that are. |
![]() Catchweed Bedstraw growing at the base of our trees... |
![]() The sky above where I was sitting... |
![]() house sparrow |
![]() White-winged Dove |
![]() Mealy Blue Sage |
![]() White-winged Dove |
![]() Mocking Bird (State Bird of Texas) |
![]() Northern Cardinal and House Sparrow |
![]() male Golden-fronted Woodpecker |
![]() The kids hiding in the shade. |
![]() Northern Cardinal |
![]() White-winged Dove |
![]() Gray Bird Grasshopper |
![]() A potential dozen roses- maybe more |
