Well, here's another homely female cardinal. I hope this is just heat related and not a sign of a disease.

Inca Dove

This adorable hummingbird sat up on this tiny branch for about 20 minutes. I got to practice all kinds of settings. Still never got a really good one.

Miss Olive had a cicada in her mouth a few nights ago. She loves to eat them. I'm told they taste similar to shrimp, but I will never know for sure, I promise you. Anyway, I got her to drop it and put it on this aloe vera. The next morning, I was happy to see that it survived and came out of its shell.

Inca Dove

This is the reddest male House Finch I have ever seen. When I first saw it, I thought it was a summer tanager. I was pretty excited. Then I zoomed in and saw that it wasn't. He is still pretty though.

He stayed on that feeder for a long time.
