Where the Birds Aren't... 08-29-2022
I ran out of bird seed the other day. The birds have finally cleaned out the feeders. One stormy day, hundreds of birds held a feeding frenzy eating everything that was on the ground. Now, the birds don't even come to say hello. Don't worry, birdseed is on the shopping list. Without the birds, and being so busy with my Master Naturalist work, I just haven't been all that motivated to get out and take pictures. The dogs and I went out for a few minutes and got a few shots. Nothing spectacular. I have more work to do before Jared gets here for dinner, so I'm not going to comment or ID much.

Check this guy out. He wouldn't let me get any closer. |
I don't remember the name of this. I know it is related to carnations. Oh yeah! Sweet William. |
This grows in a hanging pot in the front yard. |
Another front yard plant... |
I usually enter the house through the garage, so I never noticed this plant. |
This is one of Rachel's plants in the front of the house. |
We are getting to the end of the blossoms on the Pride of Barbados. |
This is the neighbor's tree. I have never noticed this stage before. I wonder if these will bloom? |
This is my beautiful haunted looking tree in the Wildzone. It has holes in it and a cavelike opening at the base that is used by various creatures at various times of the year. |
Check out that tiny little wasp. |
